BRING BACK BASSINTHEDUST
An elected CLP Government will seek to reintroduce a once well-loved staple of the events calendar in Central Australia, which has since faded to the background. BassintheDust could return to Central Australia, for people to experience and showcase the best in live music. “Centralians should be provided the same access to quality Australian music as those in the Top End – and across the country “ CLP Candidate for Araluen, Damien Ryan, said. “Alice Springs is full of quality musical talent – from our emerging high school students to our favourite well known local bands and artists who perform around town. Our local and upcoming artists need the opportunity to experience the best of the best in Australian music along with the chance to perform on the big stage.” “Living in the centre of Australia shouldn’t mean our community miss out on the experience of popular live music arts.” Saving to travel interstate for music festivals or simply missing out on ever attending a live performance is sadly a well-known narrative for many young people in Central Australia. 2021 will be an important year for the Territory to rebuild. With the devastation of COVID-19, activities and events such as a renewed BassintheDust, would bring great returns for local business, and our tourism sector, which ultimately will inject more money into our economy. An event of this scale would also bring much excitement and colour to town for our young people and music lovers. Ends. Media Contact 0458 773 619 |
