More about Wanguri Electorate
My family moved to the NT in 1987 when my father took a position as a police officer with the NTPFES; between the years of 1987-1996 we resided in and around remote communities across the Territory. Living in remote Australia gave me a unique opportunity to develop an awareness and knowledge of Aboriginal customs and society, something that continues to serve me today.
My family relocated to Darwin towards the end of 1996, so that my siblings and I could attend high school. It was whilst attending Darwin high school that I became actively involved in community affairs, youth matters, student representative councils and youth parliament. I was one of the first students that established the now custom of school representatives at ceremonies such as ANZAC day and Remembrance Day.
After school, I attended university and worked in the building industry on key projects like the waterfront development and the Lyons subdivision, before turning my hand at running my own business. Eventually I found I had an aptitude for information technology; problem solving, delivering on projects, working to schedules, awareness of budgets, investigation, research and most importantly client relationships. I have had the privilege of having worked in both the government and private sector.
Since 2016 I have been focused on the family business based in the Wanguri, where I work as a chemical specialist in partnership with my father in fabrication, spare part supplies, repairs and servicing. I also engage my skills as a photographer with nightclubs, businesses, and events around Darwin. During the last 17 years I have resided and travelled extensively around the world but have always called Darwin home. The motivation for me to run as a Country Liberal Party candidate for the seat of Wanguri, is due to the terrible state of the economy, businesses shutting down or relocating to other states and crime rates that keep going up, there is no solution on offer from the current Gunner Labor Government.
I am passionate and motivated about delivering innovative solutions that benefit all Territorians. If elected, I will be push to make it easier for businesses to operate here in the Territory, deregulation that will allow businesses to establish themselves in the Territory and flourish.
I will push for reforms that ensure that criminal behaviour is addressed, crime is reduced, and people feel safe in their homes.
I want the Northern Territory to be the place where everything is happening, and you can live the Territory dream.
