Candidate for Casuarina
I was transferred to the NT with Commercial Bank of Australia / Westpac in June 1981 and I have worked in Darwin, Jabiru, Katherine and Tennant Creek.
I returned to Darwin in February 1995 to start Mortgage Choice NT as Franchisee /Owner Principal. An Inductee to Mortgage Choice Hall of Fame in 2013 and a Multi Industry and Franchise award winner over the many years, in 2002 I introduced the Industry Association to NT. I’m also a Fellow of Institute of Managers & Leaders.
I’m a Life Member of Casuarina Kiwanis Service Club and on the Australian Board of Trustees since 2014. We purchased our first home in Nakara in 1988 and we returned there in 1995. The family were schooled at Nakara, Holy Spirit Primary, OCC and CSC
We kept what was our first home until 2018 and I remain a member of the Casuarina community through service and church despite our current Anula residence.
I have been Involved with basketball for 30 plus years, I played, umpired, coached juniors and have been active on committees. Also played football and other sports across the NT.
I’m passionate that junior sports can be an education pathway, leading to employment, self-respect and a future for young people here. We must encourage all people in the NT who are capable of working, to aspire to worthwhile employment with opportunities for self-determination and lifestyle choice where they choose to raise a family.
A respected member of the Professional Mortgage and Finance Industry in the Northern Territory, with 25 years self-employed business experience and 40 years Banking and Finance, I estimate I’ve helped more than 5000 families here into Home Ownership.
A recognized leader from as early as my primary school years, I’ve faced personal and business challenges head on. My strength has always been solving problems, working for practical and fair outcomes. A career of listening to people, gaining their trust and respect, I’m absolutely ready and I’m committed to being elected for the Country Liberals Party in the electorate of Casuarina.
I look forward representing the people of Casuarina in their NT Parliament, addressing their challenges that are before the NT right now and those that form our future.
